In Memory of Graeme
Sadly this year (2011) we lost one of our workers and friend, Graeme Smith, to cancer.
Graeme worked as one of our Bathrooms fitters for our firm for 4 years before becoming ill with back pains in July 2010. After seeing his doctor, he was referred to Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital for a scan, which showed a significant mass in his pelvic area. This was later diagnosed as bone cancer.
Graeme had extensive Chemo Therapy at Newcastle RVI but Unfortunately this had no effect.
Graeme spent the last month of his life being cared for at the Teesside Hospice in Middlesbrough where he unfortantly passed away on the 19th January 2011 aged only 26. He will be missed by all here at Welhams as he was not just one of our fitters but was also a good friend to all.
