Pippy Oak
The Client’s Brief
Mr & Mrs C were looking for a larger kitchen to better suit the needs of their whole family. They also wanted to tidy up the utility area at the same time. Rather than trying to coordinate several services, Mr & Mrs C wanted us to project manage the entire job from design to completion. The look they wanted was a traditional style with a modern twist.
The Welham Solution
Mr & Mrs C knew the colour scheme they were looking for and chose the Pippy Oak with a Travertine worktop. Laminate backsplashes to match the worktop were chosen to give a sleek modern look to the room. So the utility area was in keeping with the kitchen, the same colours and products were used there.
Installation
Needless to say, this was going to need some building work carrying out prior to installation. For a project such as this one, which involved the removal of a loadbearing wall, we consulted with a structural engineer. He advised us throughout the work. Once all building work was carried out (including a full plaster re-skim) we installed the new kitchen and utility units and all of the appliances. The clients had purchased their own flooring, which we also fit. Once the work had started, the whole job took us approximately seven working days.
